Wow you guys are SO helpful!! I even ordered a ebook from Suzi Chua to start me off. I am leaving to go to the store to get some brushes and paint and off to the cold beach to find some rocks!!! Thank you all for the tips. I have printed out all of the information to get started and we'll see what a mess my first rock will be. lol....

I think the best place to start is with a ladybug rock. They are the easiest of all and ALWAYS turn out cute. That will give you a 'feel' for working with rocks and paints and will also give you your first 'success.'
