WOW!  What a great response I got from you all about the girl & pony pieces.  Thank you all so very much.
Kim, thanks for the nice compliment about horses.  I have been drawing and painting horses since I could hold a pencil, many moons ago LOL
Also I have owned horses most of my life and I think that has helped as well.  I have studied the way they move and their muscles and they have been a big part of my life.   I use to raise a foal every year and that is a wonderful experience and to watch them grow gives you a great incite into being able to draw and paint them.
I hope you post some of yours I would love to see them.
