Betty , Liquitex makes a fabric medium that works great.
I got a bottle of it at Michaels arts and crafts or you could probably order it online. It is made specifically for adding to acrylics to use on fabric.
I've used it on t-shirts and it makes the paint go on easier and it sets the paint into the fabric.
It is softer than just using the paint by itself also.
The bottle I have is 4 fl oz. and it cost me $7.50.
But you don't need much so it will last a long time.
Hope that helps.

As most of you know I am painting some tote bags for the ladies at
church.
I am using my regular acrylics with a little sealer mixed in, and they
are turning out pretty good, but stiff.
I want to paint a few articles of clothing, and would like the design
to be softer, and washable.
Pebeo was suggested, but it is quite pricey, and has to be set with
heat.
Any suggestions as to what brand might work or if there is something to
mix with regular acrylic paint that would make is softer, and washable.
