i mix very little water with white acrylics ...then paint my rocks with a big flat broad brush...then repeat when it dries ...usually 2 coatings are fairly good...sometimes i add 3 coats...if i need my rocks realllyyyy white...heheheehe.
here is what i do..i take a couple of rocks and whitecoat them all at one go...that way, it has time to dry n when i hav finished say 15 rocks...the first one is ready to be painted d second round...
for d spraying method...yes, i think u need to spray a couple of times for good coverage...and spray according to instructions on d can...this need to hav patience too....if u load too much spray onto ur rock...it bleeds/runs...n thats a no no...!
