Hi Suzi, Thanks for the kind words, and I will keep you all updated
on my rock painting venture whenever possible. Yes, that private
lady is quite a good one to help!!!

I am just wanting to paint rocks again, and to enjoy this summer as
much as possible. Wanting to dedicate the rest of my artwork to the
Lord for giving back the use of my hands and wrists. The Fun Day at
the fairgrounds is not until October.

My hubby is facing a total hip replacement, and I have other health
problems as well. After all, we aren't "spring chickens" anymore!!!
I was a nurse by profession and retired now.

Grandma Moses was always one of my inspirations, and I don't think
she painted until she was 80!!!

I've done multi-media artwork most all of my life, and am mostly
self taught. You can see some of my artwork on Wedshots.

Suzie, I have checked out some of your painted rocks and I am in
AWE. You paint similar to my art style. I like warm cozy dogs, and
have a Boston Terrier, Ellie Rose. Also, the Yellow Lab grandpup,
Jasmine, lives next door and spends lot of time here. I'm needing to
paint them on rocks, too.

I joined this group back in the good old days of the later 90's. My
good friend, Kenneth Young (aka Hippagator), was in here then, and
then he started another Rock Painting group. Then he passed on. We
shared a love of American Civil War history, also.

I started Gourds for Art and Utility on Yahoo about 1998, which
dissolved a couple of years back. We got the VA Gourd Society up and
going and now have the State Gourd Festival nearby in November.

Nice to meet you all here, and I am hoping to catch up on some of
the posts. I've just been standing by for waaaaaaaay too long.

HUGS to you, too, Susie.

Later, Nancy
