Hi There Deb,
I just took a look at the dog you are painting on a rock, and one
would never know that you haven't been painting for a while. He is
very well proportioned and your detail looks great! Keep it up!
Over the years I also have kept my artwork on the back burner and was
never consistent with it either, regardless of many people telling me
I had a talent I shouldn't let slip by. It was always there and I
longed to do it, but I always got side tracked with other things in
my life.
Now I am going to be 50 and don't know where all that time has
gone....50???? Nah....not me!! Ha...Ha... ANYWAY! I remarried last
August and my husband was insistent that I quit my full-time job with
crazy hours as a baker and pursue my art full-time. I walked along
that "edge" for a while and finally, last November I took that leap
of faith to pursue that dormant dream I have always had....NOW I HAVE
NO EXCUSE!! Ha....HA.... SO HERE I AM....whooooooooo.....HAAAAAAA!!!!
I began by painting a rock that I entitled "The Awakening" which
means alot to me as it signifies the rebirth of my dormant dream. I
was going to sell it and I thought....no, this one is special and it
is staying with me. My husband took various pictures of it as it is
dark and doesn't have much color and I will post it shortly. I also
just finished painting 60 small river rocks based on Hawaii for my
future daughter-in-law's bridal shower. I posted them previously.
ANYWAY! Enough about me! Please do keep painting and those
smouldering embers of yours will soon transform into a blazing
creative fire that you will never be able to quench....and rightly so
as this is why you are here. I found myself and am never turning
back. You will too....
My very BEST wishes to you and fire up those brushes girl!!!
YEAHHH!!!
ROCK ON! And I am looking forward to seeing your completed puppy!
Sincerely, Holly
