Wish I had an answer for your cracking paint problem, but sorry,I
don't.
While it is often recommended that we do not mix paint brands,I do it
all the time and have never had a problem.
Did you use any sprays on your pieces? One thing we shouldn't do is
mix brands of sprays. The propellents in different brands of spray
products can have adverse affects on each other.
When desired, a crackled finish can be a great technique but in your
case it wasn't the look you wanted so I'm sorry this happened. Like
you, I am puzzled and would be very interested in knowing the reason
behind the cracking.
