to a local group for their annual fundraiser.
Suzi asked to see some pics of painted pieces that may be decorating
the rooms in my house. Wellll....I honestly don't have that many on
display. In the kitchen I have a set of 3 barrel staves with herb
designs on them, and a cutting board with a trompe l'oeil of
mushrooms, tomatoes and a paring knife on it. In the dining room on
the buffet is a tray with a still life of radishes and a jug, in the
living room on the fireplace mantel is a flagstone with a yellow '55
Chev on it and a tissue box with a fishing lure design,in one corner
behind the door is a sampler that I painted in my first ever painting
class and on the floor is a rock doorstopper with pansies on it. I do
have several rocks and stones in the yard in the summer, and at
Christmas and Hallowe'en I bring out lots of seasonal pieces. Most of
my work is in my studio as are the items that friends have painted
for me. My daughter also has quite a few of my pieces in her home.
Thanks for your interest Suzi!
I'm just about finished an altered art piece that is destined to hang
in our upstairs hall. Will put a pic of it in Non Rock for anyone who
may be interested in looking.
Hugs,
Lee
