i wish either you or betty lived closer.  i would have you try to work with jack.  he's about 5 yrs old and was saddle broke a few years ago.  i have even ridden him.  but a couple of years ago, a foster son, ruined him for a bridle and pretty much riding.  there is someone here, a friend of patrick's is willing to take him for a few weeks to see if he can do anything with jack.

i would love to see your filly, naomi.

I am in the same boat, horse wise.  My filly Dove is 2 now and I just started putting my lightweight dressage saddle on her.  She is doing great with the side reins and longeing.

I am going to upgrade to my western saddle pretty soon.  I have leaned acrossed the saddle with it on her and she is good with that.  I hope to be up on her by the end of summer.

I will post a shot of her with the saddle on soon.
