MEMENTOS OF CELEBRATION

           

The Salem Arts Association is seeking submissions for its Annual PEM Companion Exhibit, Mementos of Celebration, to be juried by Paula Bradstreet Richter, Curator of Textiles and Costumes at the Peabody Essex Museum. Exhibit dates are July 12 - August 3, 2008.

The current exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum, Wedded Bliss: The Marriage of Art and Ceremony, explores art created for or inspired by weddings. The Salem Arts Association's Mementos of Celebration will broaden that scope to include any type of celebration. Open to all media, including, 2-D, 3-D, sculpural works, photography, mixed media, crafts, and experimental works.
