"Tattooed Lady" is a contemporary photographic series that explores
women, tattoos, and their stories. The show consists of portraits and
interviews with approximately twenty women.

"I hope this exhibit inspires and intrigues people," says Morgan, "I
want the viewer to question what the phrase "tattooed lady" means to
them." The exhibit seeks to not only capture the beauty and uniqueness
of the women and their tattoos, but to look into broader of aspects of
society, self identification, and history.

This exhibit will doubtless shake up any preconceived notions people
hold about tattooed individuals. A wide variety of women from various
backgrounds and ranging in age from 18 to 45+ are represented in the
series. These captivating images span the range of emotions, from
serious to silly.

Tattooed Lady is on display at Gallery 321 at the Washington Street Art
Center during the month of July, with an opening reception on Saturday,
July 12th from 6:00-9:00pm. Normal gallery hours are Saturdays
12:00pm-4:00pm with additional viewings available by appointment.

The Washington Street Art Center houses Gallery 321, hosts studio space
for more than twenty visual artists, and presents exhibitions, concerts,
film series, and other art initiatives. The Center participates in
Somerville Open Studios each May and an annual open studios and craft
fair in December.

The Washington Street Art Center is between Union Square and Beacon
Street: a five-minute walk from Union Square and a ten-minute walk from
Harvard Square (two blocks from Beacon Street). The Center is near or on
the following bus routes: 87, 83, 86, 91. Parking is free and ample.
