A solo exhibit of several dozen of my images from the four corners of the globe--including a number of very large prints--will open on September 10 at The Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, MA. "Images of Our World" will run through September 28. The Tibetan Kingdom of Mustang, Myanmar (Burma), Mali, and Italy will be emphasized, with selected images from a number of other countries as well.
A Reception for the Firehouse exhibit will be held on Friday, September 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Following the Reception, the Firehouse Fall Preview Extravaganza will take place in their Theatre: my Reception guests are invited to stay for this event.
The Firehouse Center is an important arts venue in the charming, historic seaport city of Newburyport, just an hour north of Boston. It is in the center of town at One Market Square. Originally built in the early 1800's as a market, then serving as a firehouse, the building is beautifully restored, with a wonderful theatre, and terrific gallery space in several rooms. This is a great destination for an outing: the historic city is full of galleries, restaurants and cafés, and Plum Island, with its beautiful Parker River National Seashore, is just minutes away.
