Vicky, definately there is something wrong with your boards; I would
suggest shopping at www.dickblick.com They have a lot of different
kinds of canvas and other things. They are the cheapest I have ever
found, and ship quickly. I have always been happy with their stuff
and the more you buy of one thing the cheaper the price, I usually
buy 10 or 12 of a size of canvas at a time to get the discount.
In the meantime if you have more of your cheap boards, try spraying
them with Krylon matte finish sealer before painting. That should put
a barrier with what ever is the problem. Also would talk to where you
bought them about returning & getting a refund, especially if you
bought a lot of them.
