Betty, I use a textile medium to mix with my acrylics, but it still leaves it a bit stiff. I've used it on lots of sweatshirts and such. Its made by Delta and just called textile medium. My painting teacher always told us to use 35 cents worth - a quarter size puddle of medium to a dime size puddle of paint, then mix together. Hope this helps, Marsha

Subject: [Rock Painting] Non Rock Question
As most of you know I am painting some tote bags for the ladies at
church.
I am using my regular acrylics with a little sealer mixed in, and they
are turning out pretty good, but stiff.
I want to paint a few articles of clothing, and would like the design
to be softer, and washable.
Pebeo was suggested, but it is quite pricey, and has to be set with
heat.
Any suggestions as to what brand might work or if there is something to
mix with regular acrylic paint that would make is softer, and washable.
Happy Rockin! Betty \0/
